Cherneka Johnson vs Amanda Galle – Aussie Queen Defends Undisputed Crown on Jake vs Tank Netflix Card

When Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions said they’d shake up boxing again, they weren’t joking. Australia’s unbeaten undisputed bantamweight queen Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson (18-2, 8 KOs) is putting all four belts — WBO, WBA, WBC, and IBF — on the line against Canada’s fiery contender Amanda “Bambola” Galle (12-0-1, 1 KO) at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday, November 14.
The fight headlines the Jake Paul vs Gervonta “Tank” Davis preliminary card, streaming live to over 300 million Netflix subscribers — no pay-per-view tag, no nonsense.

For Johnson, it’s another step in a run that’s seen her turn from undercard grit to global gold. For Galle, it’s the shot she’s been chasing her whole life — the chance to make history for Canada.

Aussie Steel vs Canadian Fire

Johnson’s story reads like a movie already. The Kiwi-born Aussie became the nation’s first ever four-belt champion earlier this year after stopping Shurretta Metcalf in New York on MVP’s all-women’s card. She’s active, dangerous, and sharper than ever.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been this active — and I’m loving it,” Johnson said. “Galle showed respect in New York and told me she wanted my belts. Can’t blame her. I’d chase them too.”

Galle’s no tourist though. Raised in a tight Italian-Canadian family in Mississauga, she fought through family tragedy, injuries, and depression to get here. She once handed her national title belt to her mum on her hospital bed before she passed. That’s the kind of heart you can’t train.

“I’ve earned my seat at the table,” Galle said. “The best promotion in the world signed me, and I’m taking what’s mine. Canada knows it — the world’s about to.”

Netflix Card Goes Heavy — and Historic

Nakisa Bidarian of MVP called it straight:

“Sugar Neekz is Australia’s first defending undisputed champ in the four-belt era. Galle could become the first Canadian-born undisputed champion. Even on short notice, this will be non-stop action.”

The same night sees MVP’s Avious “Tha Underdog” Griffin (17-1, 16 KOs) collide with Justin “Stallion” Cardona (10-1, 5 KOs) in a welterweight scrap. Griffin, trained by Brian “BoMac” McIntyre and Esau Diéguez, carries a 94 percent KO rate and the kind of “to-the-death” mentality that only hardship breeds. Cardona, the East Salinas workhorse mentored by Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, is the grinder type who breaks you by inches, not explosions.

Also joining the prelims, Costa Rican star Yokasta Valle (33-3, 10 KOs) defends her WBC strawweight title against Yadira “La Reina” Bustillos (11-1, 2 KOs).

Jake vs Tank – the Showdown Everyone Said Wouldn’t Happen

The main card? Madness.
Jake Paul finally gets his wish — Gervonta “Tank” Davis in a grudge fight four years in the making. Both claim to be boxing’s biggest star of their generation. Netflix’s cameras will feed it live to the world.

The co-main throws down with Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner defending her unified 130 lb titles against Leila Beaudoin over 12 three-minute rounds — the same standard as the men. Baumgardner ditched her WBC belt to make a point: equality means equal rounds. Respect that.

Also on deck: Gary “The Last” Russell vs Japan’s unbeaten Andy Hiraoka for the WBA super-lightweight crown.

  1. I think it’s awesome women getting spotlight like this but putting too many fights on one card just makes it confusing. Too many names, too many belts, it’s hard to keep up. 🤷‍♀️

  2. Jake Paul fighting Tank is crazy. Tank got real hands, not YouTube hands. This ain’t gonna be funny for Jake. He in over his head and bout to get humbled bad.

    • Jake trained for years though, and he beat some real fighters already. He ain’t just a YouTuber now. He might pull it off. People said the same thing last time.

  3. This is a big moment for Canada, and I think Galle gonna surprise everybody. People counting her out just cause she don’t knock people out. But skill and heart win fights too. 🇨🇦

  4. I don’t even know who most of these people are. They need to stop putting random names on big cards. It’s only Jake Paul and Tank people care about. The rest is filler.

  5. They talk about women’s boxing like it’s the same as men’s now, but it’s not. Baumgardner doing 3-minute rounds don’t make it equal. She still ain’t got the power like the dudes.

    • Man, you wrong for that. Baumgardner hits harder than some of the guys. She more exciting than Jake Paul for real. She putting on a show every time.

  6. Amanda been through a lot, I get that, but having heart ain’t enough to win all them belts. Johnson a killer in the ring. This gonna end bad for Canada. 😬

  7. Why is Netflix putting boxing on their app like it’s a movie? Real boxing fans want real pay-per-view, not some app with shows. It’s not the same energy and it’s just weird.

    • Exactly! Watching boxing on Netflix is like watching cartoons on the news. It’s not where it belongs. They trying to make money, not do what’s best for boxing fans.

    • Nah y’all tripping. Netflix doing it smart. No pay-per-view fee? That’s a win for us regular people. I ain’t paying $80 just to see one fight.

  8. I don’t think Amanda Galle deserves this title shot at all. She only got 1 knockout and now she fighting someone with four belts? That’s not fair. It feels like a setup or something. 🥊
