Collazo and Fundora Frontline Fantasy Springs Doubleheader on Sept. 20

By Tim Smith - September 17, 2025 - 9 comments

Golden Boy rolled into Fantasy Springs Resort Casino this week to set the stage for Saturday’s world title doubleheader, streaming live on DAZN. At the top of the card, Puerto Rico’s Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (12-0, 9 KOs) defends his WBA, WBO, and Ring minimumweight titles against the hungry challenger Jayson “Striker” Vayson (14-1-1, 8 KOs) of the Philippines.

The co-main carries just as much intrigue: Gabriela “Sweet Poison” Fundora (16-0, 8 KOs), the youngest undisputed world champion in boxing history, puts her belts on the line against Canada’s Alexas Daria “Iron Lady” Kubicki (13-1, 2 KOs). Fundora is defending her WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring titles for the second time.

Collazo vs Vayson: Hungry Challenger, Unbeaten Champion

Collazo knows what’s at stake: “Vayson has fought a lot of good opposition and comes with a lot of hunger, and I know he’ll come to fight.” Vayson, making his U.S. debut, isn’t shy about his intent. “I can’t wait to show the world what I’m made of. We are prepared to show our best in the ring. I will not waste this opportunity and the chance to become a World Champion.”

Collazo returns to the same valley where he first captured his belts. For him, it’s a full-circle defense; for Vayson, it’s the chance to change his life.

Fundora vs Kubicki: Youth and Pressure Collide

Fundora didn’t waste words: “Talk is cheap. Let’s see what she can bring on Saturday. My nickname is Sweet Poison for a reason… when Saturday comes, there will be poison inside the ring. The Fundora name is associated with knockouts, and that’s what fans should expect.”

Kubicki shot back with her own fire: “It’s not a question of if I win, it’s when I win. When I win Saturday night, I’ll break her record to become the youngest undisputed world champion.”

The storyline is simple—one champion defending a historic run, another fighter convinced she’s about to rewrite history.

  1. ‘No easy nights’ sounds good but promoters always say that to sell tickets 😒 Most times the favorite wins cause other fighter just there for paycheck unless they get lucky with a punch or injury.

  2. ‘Youngest champ’ don’t mean much if she hasn’t really been tested yet. Fundora’s big but I seen big fighters fall quick when someone scrappy gets close and throws wild punches they don’t expect.

  3. I think Vayson got robbed before so he’s gonna come mad and swing hard. He ain’t got nothin to lose and that makes him dangerous. Collazo better protect his chin or this might be an upset night.

    • Exactly, man! They stole that fight in Indonesia from him, now he’s gonna take it out on Collazo. You can see it in his eyes, he hungry for belts more than fame.

    • @Vwright True! And them judges better not mess this one up again or it’s gonna look shady all over again. Let fighters win fair with fists not scorecards!

  4. DAZN always tryna make us pay for these fights but sometimes they ain’t even worth it. I like boxing but streaming only stuff makes it hard for regular folks to enjoy unless you pirate or somethin 🤷‍♀️

  5. Why they always put these fights in fancy casinos? Most fans can’t even go there. Should do it in a place where real boxing fans can afford tickets and see these fights live not just on apps.

  6. Everyone actin like Fundora already won but she never fought no one as tough as Granadino before. Size don’t mean nothin if you ain’t ready to fight someone who comes to win for real.

  7. I don’t get why people keep hypin up Collazo like he unbeatable. He fought some okay dudes but Vayson got power and heart. One good shot and Collazo gonna be nappin on the canvas. 🥊
