Davis vs. Albright: A Family Showdown with a Major Junior Welterweight Clash at Scope Arena!

By Tim Smith - April 30, 2025 - No comments

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Kelvin “Nite Nite” Davis (15-0, 8 KOs) is out for a measure of family retribution when he faces Nahir “Woo” Albright (16-2, 7 KOs) in a 10-round junior welterweight battle at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The fight is set to take center stage on a PBC Championship Boxing undercard headlined by Kelvin’s younger brother, Keyshawn Davis, defending his WBO lightweight world title against Edwin De Los Santos.

This highly anticipated event will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, with Davis vs. Albright and the rest of the undercard exclusively streaming on ESPN+.

Kelvin Davis: Ready to Show His Dominance

After his younger brother Keyshawn Davis faced a controversial no-contest decision in October 2023 against Albright, Kelvin “Nite Nite” Davis is stepping into the ring with one goal in mind: to settle the score and prove that the Davis name is untouchable. “Albright is a good opponent for this point in my career, but he can’t hang with us,” said Kelvin Davis. “He thinks he accomplished something with Keyshawn by taking him 10 rounds, but I’m here to show him he can’t play with the Davis name.”

Kelvin Davis, a 6-foot-1 southpaw, turned professional in December 2020 and has been on an impressive streak ever since. His most recent victories include a fourth-round knockout of Jose Marruffo in March 2025 and a dominant unanimous decision victory over Yeis Solano in November 2024. The undefeated contender is ready to take his career to the next level and make a statement against Albright.

Albright: Hungry for Redemption and Glory

Nahir Albright, who handed Keyshawn Davis the toughest fight of his career, is looking to capitalize on the opportunity. The skilled and durable Albright has never been stopped in his professional career and will bring everything he’s got to challenge Kelvin Davis. He also holds a notable victory over Karlos Balderas, a 2016 U.S. Olympian, which shows his potential.

“I know Kelvin’s coming with everything, but I’m ready to show the world I belong at the top,” said Albright. “I gave Keyshawn a run for his money, and now I’m ready to do the same to Kelvin.”
