Jaron “Boots” Ennis vs Uisma Lima: Philly Eliminator Set for October 11

Philadelphia’s own Jaron “Boots” Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) is about to test new waters at super-welterweight, and standing across from him is Portugal’s Uisma Lima (14-1, 10 KOs), who swears he’s coming to wreck the party. The final eliminator for the WBA world title takes place Saturday, October 11 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, streaming worldwide on DAZN.

Tickets are already on sale via Ticketmaster.com and Events365.com, with Philly primed for a stacked night of fights.

Lima: “They Made a Big Mistake”

Lima, 32, has made a career out of traveling into hostile territory. His last eight fights were abroad, and he claims Ennis will just be another name on his list. “I don’t have a big promotion behind me like Eddie Hearn, but I want to fight these big names,” Lima told Matchroom’s Flash Knockdown podcast.

“Boots does everything well, but me too! I work hard, I have good footwork, I have an explosive punch. I think they have made a big mistake. I like being the underdog. Canada, Germany, South Africa, the UK… I’ve spoiled parties before. This will be no different.”

He even praised sparring with Adam Azim as sharper than what he expects from Ennis. “I think he’s better than Boots,” Lima said. “One or two years and he will be World champion.”

Coe vs Hart and Heavyweight Action

The co-main brings fireworks: Khalil Coe (10-1-1, 8 KOs) defends his USWBC light-heavyweight title against Philly veteran Jesse Hart (31-3, 25 KOs). That’s a local bragging-rights fight with bite.

Heavyweight prospect Alexis Barriere (12-0, 10 KOs) takes on Italy’s Guido Vianello (13-3-1, 11 KOs) for the WBC Continental Americas strap. Meanwhile, Jose Roman (14-1, 6 KOs) defends his WBA Continental North America welterweight title against unbeaten Tahmir Smalls (15-0, 11 KOs).
