Jaron Ennis Dares Norman and Barrios to Unify: “Stop Posting. Grow a Pair. Let’s Fight.”

After smashing Eimantas Stanionis into retirement on Saturday night in Atlantic City, Jaron “Boots” Ennis is coming for the rest of the division. Live on DAZN, the 26-year-old didn’t just grab the WBA belt — he snatched the Ring Magazine title, too, and made it look easy. Now? He wants blood. And names. And he wants them in Philly.

Boots Brutalizes Stanionis, Calls for All the Smoke

Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) battered Stanionis for six straight rounds before the Lithuanian said “no more.” It wasn’t close. From the second round, Ennis already knew he had him figured out.

“When I fight top of the line guys, that’s when you’ll see a whole different me,” Ennis told reporters after the fight. “I was just revving my engine… I knew he was going to go from certain things he was doing. My Pops said, ‘not yet, chill, stick to the game plan.’”

Ennis revealed he took less money to make the fight happen. He gave Stanionis a bigger cut just to get him in the ring. “That shows who really wanted the fight,” he said. “None of these fighters can mess with me. I’m the best fighter in the world.”

Hearn: “Norman, Barrios – Let’s See If You Want It”

Promoter Eddie Hearn wasn’t subtle about what’s next. He wants Boots back at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia — this summer or early fall — and he wants one of the other titleholders, either Brian Norman or Mario Barrios, to show up with a belt and some nerve.

“With all due respect to Brian Norman, he just boxed for about $150,000 on the undercard of Mikaela Mayer and Sandy Ryan,” Hearn said. “If we go back to Wells Fargo, Boots fills 18-19,000, no question. There is money in the pot, but you have to show ambition.”

Hearn said Bob Arum is open to the Norman fight. But if Norman passes? He might as well call it a day.

“If you don’t want to get in the ring, retire. What’s this all about? It’s ten times your biggest payday. Stop with Twitter, stop with Instagram, grow a pair of balls and come fight.”

And as for Mario Barrios, the door is just as open. “This is about proving you’re the best. Boots is going through all the divisions. 147. 154. 160. He’s not losing anytime soon.”

The Goal: Undisputed or Nothing

Hearn made it clear: Ennis isn’t leaving 147 without cleaning house. The plan is to unify. Then go up. Not the other way around.

“I think the greatest achievement for any fighter is to be undisputed,” Hearn said. “After the Chukhadzhian fight, there were questions — should he move up? But if he moved up without unifying, we wouldn’t have done our job.”

Ennis looked comfortable at the weigh-in. Comfortable in the ring. And way too comfortable picking apart a guy who had never lost before. Norman. Barrios. Whoever’s next — Philly’s waiting.

  1. ‘I believe Stanionis has the edge here because he fought tougher opponents before, Ennis might not handle pressure as well as everyone thinks!’ 👀

    • No way Rowena, Ennis clearly has the speed advantage! Speed can change everything in boxing! You should rethink your position honestly!

    • ‘Pressure or not, the main point is how they adapt in the ring during the fight itself right? That matters more than any past fights!’

  2. People keep saying that Ennis gonna win but what about Stanionis? He also has skillz and more fight history. You can’t just ignore that! Its not fair to underestimating him at all! 🙄

    • ‘But like, if you look at stats, Ennis has better record but still it’s gonna be close! Both have strengths but idk if age really matter here much for a boxing match.’

  3. Honestly, I think that Jaron will win because he’s younger and faster. Experience doesn’t always mean victory! Stanionis might be tough but youth have its advantages in boxing!! Just watch the fight! 🥊💥

  4. I just dont get how people can be so hyped about this match. Jaron’s skills are good but he aint no champ yet. Stanionis got experience, Ennis needs to prove more before we cheer for him!

  5. This fight is a total joke! Both fighters are overrated. Why should we care? I mean come on, boxing is dead anyway and DAZN? What a waste of time and money! 😒

  6. I dont understand why people think Ennis is gonna win. Stanionis has been training hard and he got the power. Just look at his past fights, he is strong, unlike Ennis! 🤷‍♀️

  7. Seriously, how can anyone be excited about this fight? Ennis is overrated, and Stanionis doesn’t stand a chance. The matchmaking here is pathetic! It’s all just a money grab for DAZN. Why should we even bother watching? If you think this is going to be a classic fight, you’re delusional!
