Euri Cedeño inks with Top Rank, returns June 7 on Davis vs. De Los Santos undercard — Dominican puncher ready to wreck Abel Mina on ESPN+

Dominican middleweight wrecking ball Euri Cedeño (11-0-1, 10 KOs) is now officially part of the Top Rank machine. The Tokyo Olympian just signed a long-term co-promotional deal with Top Rank and King’s Promotions, and he’s set to punch his way back into the spotlight on Saturday, June 7 at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, live on ESPN+. He faces Ecuador’s Abel Mina (18-3-1, 9 KOs) in a scheduled 10-rounder on the undercard of Keyshawn Davis vs. Edwin De Los Santos.

Top Rank says he’s the real deal. His handlers say he’s a future champ. We’re about to find out.

From Olympic gloves to pro power — Cedeño’s no fluff, just fists

Bob Arum’s not one to oversell — usually — but even he’s calling Cedeño “one of the most complete fighters to come out of the Dominican Republic.” The southpaw has a deep amateur pedigree, over 400 bouts, and came up under his late father Aquino, a respected trainer back home.

Since turning pro in 2022, he’s made a habit of finishing opponents early. His lone blemish? A draw with unbeaten Cuban Dayan Depestre last year. But Cedeño responded the right way — cleaned it up with a win that December, and hasn’t stopped swinging since. Five straight stoppages. First-round KO in March. Now he’s back on a big stage.

Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions says, “we’ve got a future star,” and he’s betting that under Top Rank’s guidance, Cedeño won’t just hang around — he’ll take over.

A statement fight or a stumble?

Abel Mina isn’t expected to win, let’s be honest. But he’s experienced, and this is Cedeño’s first real showing since being handed the co-promotional crown. It’s not about scraping a W — it’s about brutal dominance. ESPN+ viewers want knockouts, not tap-fests.

Cedeño knows it. “There’s still a long way to go,” he said, “but I’ve earned this.” Yeah, well — now it’s time to show it. Not in a press release. In the ring.

  1. ‘Euri Cedeño has over four hundrid amateur fights,’ bruh that’s too many times getting hit in the head 😵 maybe that explain why he always go full blast from first round lol.

  2. ‘Co-promotional crown’? 😂 What is this, Game of Thrones for boxers? If he loses to Mina then this gonna age like milk.

    • @Matilda75 😂😂 best comment I seen on here today! Boxing needs less drama writers an more real fighters!

  3. This all just hyp machine again😑 They say ‘future star’ but we hurd that before wit others who vanish in 2 fights. Let’s see if he can really handle Mina b4 crownin him king.

    • Nah Laura you wrong here… Cedeno actually got the skills, not just hype, he got more then Mina for sure, jus wait and see 🔥.

    • I agree with Laura… they always say ‘next big ting’ and then forget them when ratings drop 🤷‍♀️.
