Fundora Breaks Down Badillo To Stay Queen Of The Flyweights
Gabriela Fundora (16-0, 8 KOs) sent a clear message to the rest of the division Saturday night at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside. She battered Marilyn Badillo (19-1-1, 3 KOs) over seven rounds before forcing a stoppage to retain her WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, and Ring Magazine world titles.
Fundora’s height, jab, and constant pressure wore Badillo down. In the seventh, Fundora dropped her with a stiff jab—the first knockdown of Badillo’s career. After rising, Badillo shook her head, and the referee waved it off.
“I stayed consistent, and I wasn’t surprised she didn’t want any more after that knockdown,” Fundora said after another dominant showing.
With undisputed locked down, Fundora hinted at chasing belts in other divisions next.

Both fighters refused to take a step back. Garcia Perez’s relentless volume and inside work stole key rounds late. After a brutal back-and-forth, judges scored it 115-113 Garcia, 115-113 Conwell, and 115-113 Garcia.
“I worked so hard for this chance,” Garcia Perez said, tearing up. “Now a title shot is next.”
Garcia Perez called for fights against Sebastian Fundora or any current champion.
