Golden Boy Promotions locked a multi-year deal with Swerve TV to stream hundreds of classic fights and develop new boxing shows; fans can watch for free starting this month on Swerve Combat, which airs Golden Boy Classics Fight Night every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
The Los Angeles-based streaming platform now holds access to Golden Boy’s fight library, featuring archived battles from Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Álvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and Bernard Hopkins. Current fighters under the Golden Boy banner, including Ryan Garcia and Vergil Ortiz Jr., will also appear in new programming scheduled to roll out through the partnership.
What Fans Get Beyond Archived Fights
Swerve TV and Golden Boy plan to produce original studio shows, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and athlete-focused programming that explores the cultural side of boxing. The companies will also broadcast live preliminary bouts for select major events, giving viewers coverage that connects historic moments with today’s rising talent.
“Golden Boy has always been about elevating the sport of boxing and telling the stories behind the fighters,” De La Hoya said. “Partnering with Swerve TV allows us to bring our historic fights and new content to an even broader audience through an accessible, free platform. This collaboration gives fans a deeper connection to the sport—its history, its culture, and its future.”
How the Weekly Slot Fits Into Combat Sports Streaming
Golden Boy Classics Fight Night anchors Swerve Combat’s Thursday schedule, offering curated matchups that trace boxing’s evolution over the past two decades. The recurring time slot gives the platform a stable anchor for boxing fans while creating room for experimental formats, including community-driven narratives and fighter profiles that go beyond the ring.
Steve Shannon, CEO of Swerve TV, called the partnership a move to “deliver one of the most diverse and dynamic portfolios of combat sports content.” He added that combining Golden Boy’s legacy with new formats will spotlight athletes, communities, and stories shaping modern boxing.

Golden Boy ain’t what it used to be. All these new shows and channels don’t make the fighters better. They should train more instead of making documentaries about themselves 😤.
Them saying it’s ‘free’ is just to make people watch something they can’t sell. If it was really good content they’d charge for it like pay-per-view does 💸.
Why would I watch fights from twenty years ago when we got UFC and MMA stuff going on right now? Boxing just ain’t exciting anymore no matter how they try spin it.
They trying to make boxing like Netflix shows now or something. I just want to see who knocks who out, not behind-the-scenes drama or all that cultural stuff 🤷♂️.
I don’t think this is all that great. Most of them fights are old and we already seen them before. Just cause it’s free don’t mean it’s worth watching every Thursday.
Yeah I agree, they keep showing the same legends like it’s new. I want real fights now, not just history class 📺.
Facts man, who needs documentaries and stories? Just show us real action in the ring not this extra stuff.
