It’s been years since British boxing fans could just switch on the telly and watch big men throw leather without paying a penny. That changes Saturday, October 25, when Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV fight for the British Heavyweight Title live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer from the Vaillant Live Arena in Derby. No PPV, no subscription — just free heavyweight violence in prime time.
Heavyweights Back Where They Belong
For years, fans have been priced out or forced onto streaming platforms. This fight feels like a reset — proper big men on BBC Two from 8–10 PM, the way it used to be. Underneath the noise about promoters and pay-per-view models, this is what the sport needs: accessible heavyweight action that anyone can tune in for.
Frazer Clarke, the 2020 Olympic bronze medallist, almost grabbed the belt last March before being held to a draw by Fabio Wardley. He’s been grinding since.
“I’m a more complete fighter now than I’ve ever been, and with that comes knockouts,” Clarke said. “My mindset is simple: go in there, get the win, and make a statement. I’m not looking past Jeamie, but I will go straight through him.”
TKV Wants Payback and a Public Statement
Jeamie TKV, still boiling after his controversial loss to David Adeleye, sees this as redemption — and he knows millions will be watching.
“This fight isn’t going the distance, 100%,” TKV said. “We’re going to war, and I know what I’m bringing to the table. He won’t be able to handle it. I’m hungry, I’m dangerous, and I’m ready to take that belt.”
TKV brings unpredictability and spite; Clarke brings polish and Olympic seasoning. Someone’s getting hurt, and the whole country gets to watch for free.
BBC and BOXXER Bet on the Big Men
BBC Sport boss Alex Kay-Jelski called this “a historic moment in the making.” BOXXER’s Ben Shalom said the British public “love nothing more than a big heavyweight tear-up.” They know what they’re selling: raw power, bragging rights, and a belt that still means something.
If this broadcast bangs, it could spark a run of heavyweight nights back on free-to-air TV. If it fizzles, don’t expect the experiment to last.
*Finally* a fight I can actually watch without borrowing someone login or paying extra 🥳 This is how sports should be for everyone not just rich folks!
This fight is gonna be messy cause both guys got something to prove and when that happens someone usually gets knocked silly 😂 I just hope it ain’t boring like some of them hyped matches before.
People keep saying this is gonna bring boxing back but I doubt it. One fight on BBC don’t mean they going back to the old days. Next week we’ll probably need some app again 🙄
Exactly Imogen! It’s all for show once then back to charging us every month for nothing special.
Honestly I think Jeamie TKV gonna win just cause he sounds more angry and pumped up. Clarke talks too smooth, like he already thinks he got it. That kinda overconfidence can mess you up.
Nah girl, Clarke got experience from Olympics and stuff. That counts more than being mad. Being angry ain’t enough to beat someone who actually know what they doing 🤷♀️.
I agree with Molly, being mad gives you power in a fight 😤 Jeamie’s gonna come out swinging and Clarke won’t know what hit him.
I don’t see why people care so much about fancy belts and Olympic medals. If it’s free, that’s what matters to me. Finally boxing like how it used to be, on regular TV without all that pay stuff.
