The fireworks are coming Saturday, June 28 at Honda Center, Anaheim — main card firing off at 8:00 p.m. local / 11:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 a.m. BST (June 29) — live globally on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
A YouTube king turned wrecking ball vs. Mexican boxing royalty? Strap in.
Jake Paul’s Next Big Step
Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) keeps breaking the mold.
Fresh off beating Mike Tyson in a historic Netflix event that racked up 108 million live viewers, Paul is charging toward real world title ambitions.
He’s collected knockouts, viral moments, and awards — and now he faces Julio César Chávez Jr., a man Canelo Alvarez himself couldn’t stop.
“Five years ago, I stepped into the ring for my pro debut after a single amateur fight, and every fight since has been a step towards becoming world champion,” said Paul. “On June 28, live on DAZN pay-per-view, I will knock out Julio and make Chávez Sr. proud in ways Jr. never has. Viva La Puerto Rico.”
Forget sideshows. Paul is chasing legacy now — and there’s no easy way out.
Chávez Jr.’s Redemption Shot
Julio César Chávez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) knows what’s on the line.
The former WBC middleweight champion, son of Mexico’s greatest-ever fighter, feels reborn at 200 pounds.
And he’s confident the “Problem Child” is about to find out what a real fighter looks like.
“I feel rejuvenated and 10 years younger,” Chávez Jr. said. “Unfortunately for their Problem Child, they’re going to have a big problem this June — one they won’t know how to resolve.”
After setbacks and comebacks, this is the biggest chance Chávez Jr. has to rewrite his story — in front of the whole world.
Zurdo vs. Dorticós: War for Cruiserweight Supremacy
In the co-main event, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs) defends his WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles against Cuban knockout artist Yuniel Dorticós (27-2, 25 KOs).
Zurdo, already a Mexican boxing history-maker, said:
“I’m locked in, sharper than ever. The goal hasn’t changed — becoming undisputed.”
But Dorticós, known as “The KO Doctor,” carries serious danger.
One clean shot from him could wreck anyone’s night.
As Oscar De La Hoya put it: “Zurdo is built for moments like this — and this is going to be an unforgettable night celebrating the best of Mexican boxing.”
