Two undefeated champions, Jaron “Boots” Ennis and Eimantas Stanionis, will collide in a monumental unification fight for the IBF, WBA, and Ring Magazine Welterweight titles. This high-stakes bout takes place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, and will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.

With both fighters at the peak of their powers, this event promises to determine the true king of the welterweight division.

Fight Overview: The Battle for Supremacy

Jaron “Boots” Ennis: Time to Shine

Jaron Ennis (33-0, 29 KOs) has become one of the most exciting names in boxing. The Philadelphia phenom has defended his IBF title twice, showcasing his versatility with a fifth-round stoppage of David Avanesyan in July and a dominant decision win over Karen Chukhadzhian in November. Known for his explosive power and dynamic offense, Ennis sees this fight as his moment to prove he’s the division’s best.

“This is the fight I’ve been waiting for. I believe I was made for moments like this, and on April 12, I will be making a big statement. You will see the very best of me. It’s time to shine, be great, and collect those belts.”

Ennis’s combination of athleticism and ring IQ makes him one of the most dangerous fighters in the sport today.

Eimantas Stanionis: The Lithuanian Lion

Eimantas Stanionis (15-0, 9 KOs) brings grit and determination into this unification clash. The Lithuanian fighter, a 2016 Olympian, captured the WBA title by defeating Radzhab Butaev in 2022 and was elevated to full champion status in 2024 when Terence Crawford vacated the belt. Stanionis’s relentless style and durability make him a formidable challenge for anyone in the division.

“This is it—the moment I’ve been envisioning my entire life! Every sacrifice, every ounce of sweat, it’s all been for this fight. Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis is a great fighter, but I’m ready to take him down. On April 12 in Atlantic City, I’ll show the world what I’m made of. This unification bout is my chance to prove I’m the king of the welterweight division, and there’s no way I’m letting this opportunity slip away. This moment is mine!”

Stanionis’s ability to pressure opponents and find openings has earned him a reputation as one of the toughest fighters in the division.

Promoter’s Perspective

Promoter Eddie Hearn is excited about this clash, highlighting its importance for the division:

“This is a simply brilliant fight. When we signed Boots, I said to him that we would deliver unifications, and it’s great to get this over the line. With the biggest fight of his career right in front of him, I know Jaron will shine brighter than ever.

“Eimantas is a brilliant fighter, and this is without doubt the #1 and #2 in the division. I couldn’t wish for a better fight to promote at the storied Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.”

What’s at Stake?

For Ennis, this fight is an opportunity to solidify his place as the top welterweight and take a step toward pound-for-pound greatness. For Stanionis, it’s a chance to prove he’s not just a champion but the true king of the division. The winner walks away with the IBF, WBA, and Ring Magazine titles, cementing their legacy in boxing history.

  1. This fight is the best thing for boxing. Both guys undefeated means they are top of their game! Ennis will win for sure, he has power and skill. Stanionis can’t match up to him at all!

  2. I dont think this fight is gonna be that great, Ennis is good but Stanionis has more experince. People are overhyping Ennis way too much, he has not fought anyone as tough as Stanionis before.
