Most Valuable Promotions are rolling into Montreal with their 15th installment of the Most Valuable Prospects series. On Saturday, September 27, the Theatre St-Denis hosts an MVP Championship Edition stacked with young talent, streaming live on DAZN.
The card brings together Olympians, unbeaten prospects, and rising names. It’s headlined by IBF champion Sol Cudos defending against Canada’s Kim Clavel, with co-main action from Canada’s Tamm Thibeault. But the real story runs deeper through the undercard, where MVP continues its push to showcase boxing’s next wave.
Javon “Wanna” Walton Takes Center Stage
The 19-year-old actor-turned-boxer Javon Walton (2-0-1, 1 KO) headlines the prelims against the far more experienced Anthony Mora (7-4-1, 4 KOs) in a six-round lightweight fight. Walton, known to fans worldwide as “Ashtray” from Euphoria, grew up in the gym under his father DJ Walton. He’s already built hype as the youngest athlete signed to Jordan Brand, but Mora—36, aggressive, and battle-tested—comes in with a dangerous style that could flip the script.
“Every fight is a chance to grow, and I’m excited to show what I’ve learned from my last fight while facing a tough opponent with a winning record like Anthony Mora,” Walton said.
Naomy Valle’s Rise and Nelvie Tiafack’s Debut
Costa Rica’s Naomy Valle (14-0, 9 KOs) faces unbeaten Italian Federica Macrí (6-0-1, 1 KO) in a light flyweight clash. Valle already owns a WBC Youth title, but she’s still only 20. Macrí brings pedigree from her amateur career, making this one of the most intriguing fights on the card.
The night also marks the promotional debut of German Olympian Nelvie Tiafack (1-0, 1 KO). A bronze medalist in Paris and five-time German amateur champion, Tiafack takes on unbeaten American Ramiro Robles (5-0, 3 KOs) in a six-round heavyweight test. His story—losing his father as a toddler, moving from Cameroon to Germany at eight, and battling his way to Olympic glory—gives his fights an extra edge. “MVP is the most disruptive promotion out there,” Tiafack said. “My goal is to become the best in my division and become an MVP.”
Montreal Prospects and Added Fights
Montreal’s Mazlum Akdeniz (21-0, 8 KOs) meets unbeaten American Anthony Soto (13-0-1, 8 KOs) in a welterweight clash that could steal the show. The card also features:
-
Hendri Cedeno (16-0, 12 KOs) vs. Alejandro Frias (19-11-2), 10 rounds, super lightweight
-
Amanda Galle (11-0-1, 1 KO) vs. Alondra Hernandez (8-1), 8 rounds, bantamweight
-
Loick Lahaie (2-0) vs. Rufus-Venice Camara-Macauley (4-0, 3 KOs), 6 rounds, middleweight
Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul keep hammering home the same mission: use the MVP platform to push fresh fighters onto the global stage. “This card is stacked,” Bidarian said. “Montreal will witness the next generation carrying boxing forward live on DAZN.”

It’s dumb that women still doing only 2-minute rounds when men do three 😡 They should all be equal by now but clearly boxing still stuck in the past.
True! They train just as hard and fight just as good so why not let women have full rounds too?
I think promoters scared fans won’t watch if women fight longer but that’s dumb thinking in today’s world!
Why does Jake Paul gotta be involved in everything now? Dude ain’t even a real boxer and he trying to act like some promoter genius just cause he got followers 😤 Stay outta Canada bro!
For real, Ben! Jake Paul ain’t done nothing for boxing except making it look silly with celebrity fights and now he wanna act serious?
I never heard of half these people on the card so how they calling this ‘stacked’? If nobody knows them, how is that supposed to be exciting? Just looks like filler fights to me.
Good point! They hyping up unknowns as if we supposed to care about every boxer just cause they undefeated or local or whatever 🤷
‘Actor-turned-fighter’ sounds like a bad joke to me 🙄 Just cause you were on TV don’t mean you can fight for real. This Javon kid better not ruin the show with fake punches or something.
This Tammara lady talking about fighting with 3-minute rounds but still fighting 2-minute ones? That don’t make no sense. If she wants change then go do it instead of just saying stuff.
Yup, talk is cheap! If you wanna fight longer rounds then find someone that’ll let you and stop complaining when nothing changes.
Kim Clavel is cool and all but I don’t see why she keeps getting these main events when she already lost her title before. Once you lose, you shouldn’t be headlining again so soon.
Exactly! Give someone else a shot at the spotlight instead of bringing back people who already messed up once.
But maybe she’s only headlining because it’s in Montreal and she from there. It’s more about where she from than if she deserves it.
I don’t think this whole free boxing thing on DAZN makes sense. If it’s free, then how do fighters get paid? Someone has to pay for it somewhere. This sounds fishy to me 🤨
You’re right, Ray. Free stuff always got a catch. They say no paywall but maybe they just want our data or get us hooked to charge us later anyway.
