After globetrotting campaigns in the US, UK, and Puerto Rico, Mackay’s Liam Paro is back on home turf. He didn’t get the chance to defend his title here — now he’s got something to prove.
“I never got the chance to defend my world title back here, but now I’ve got the opportunity to put on a show in front of my people,” Paro said. “I plan to deliver something special.”
On the other side, two-time world title challenger Liam Wilson is still swinging for the sport’s biggest stages. And this isn’t just a paycheck. “This is my chance to show how far I’ve come – and that I’m still one of the top contenders in the world,” Wilson said.

No Limit’s biggest regional card yet, and they’re just getting started
The event also features Olympian Callum Peters, Cairns star Kirra Ruston, and a deep lineup of Queensland’s next generation. George Rose of No Limit called it the promotion’s biggest regional card to date: “To have Liam Paro and Liam Wilson fighting at home in front of a packed Cairns crowd is something we’ve been working toward for a long time.”
The Queensland Government’s support confirms the night’s impact beyond the ropes: economic lift, tourism spike, and real visibility for regional fighters.
Minister Tim Mander summed it up: “Events like this inspire kids in places like Cairns and Mackay to dream big, work hard, and believe that they too can reach the top.”
