The stakes are high, and the fighters are ready. On Saturday, May 31, former super middleweight world champion Caleb Plant defends his Interim WBA Super Middleweight Title against Armando Reséndiz in a high-stakes main event, while Jermall Charlo begins his super middleweight journey against veteran Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna in the co-main event at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will stream exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S. and select countries.

Tickets for the live event are available now at AXS.com.

Caleb Plant: Ready to prove he’s still the top dog

“I’m coming to win,” said Plant (22-1, 13 KOs). After a tough loss to Canelo Álvarez, Plant is laser-focused on securing another shot at glory. “Expect fireworks,” he said, confident in his preparation. “Armando thinks he can beat me, and that’s enough to piss me off. He knows what’s coming to him.”

For Plant, this fight is more than just a title defense. It’s a statement. “Armando is coming to take my spot, but I’m not gonna let that happen,” Plant added, eyes on the bigger picture, naming names like Terence Crawford, Jaime Munguia, and Edgar Berlanga. “I’ll end up where I’m supposed to be. I’m gonna pick them off one by one.”

Armando Reséndiz: The Mexican warrior with something to prove

Reséndiz (13-1, 9 KOs) has been dreaming of this moment. “I’m facing an elite fighter, and this is making my dream come true,” he said ahead of the showdown. The 26-year-old from Mexico is confident that he has the tools to overcome Plant and prove that his skills have evolved. “I’m gonna show him exactly how much I’ve grown on May 31.”

Reséndiz doesn’t back down from a challenge. “I’m a Mexican fighter and people are gonna see what I’m capable of,” he declared. Reséndiz is looking to deliver a performance that’ll have the boxing world talking.

Jermall Charlo: Returning with a vengeance

Jermall Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs) is back — and he’s bringing everything he’s got for Thomas LaManna (30-5-1, 12 KOs). After a two-year layoff, Charlo is looking to prove he’s stronger than ever. “I’m back at 100%. I feel stronger and better,” he said, eager to get back in the ring. Charlo is focused on the task at hand, but he’s also got big plans: “There’s bigger fish to fry,” he said, hinting at even greater challenges ahead.

Thomas LaManna: Out to shock the world

Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna is here to make a statement. “We’re gonna shock the world on May 31,” he said, showing no fear ahead of the challenge. This is a huge moment for LaManna, who’s fought tough competition like Erislandy Lara. With momentum from his nine-win streak, LaManna is more than ready to make a name for himself. “Once the call came for this fight, I answered,” LaManna said. “I’m here to write my own legacy.”
