Most Valuable Promotions just added two heavy hitters to their women’s roster—and not just any names, but Savannah Marshall and Chantelle Cameron. That’s a former undisputed super middleweight champ and a former undisputed super lightweight champ in one swoop.
Marshall (13-1, 10 KOs), who beat the brakes off nearly everyone at middleweight before moving up, is now part of MVP. She gave Claressa Shields her only loss back in the amateurs, lit up Hannah Rankin for the WBO strap, and later became the undisputed champ at 168 by dragging Franchón Crews-Dezurn through 10 rounds. She even jumped into MMA and stopped someone in one round this year, because why not? She joins Ellie Scotney as MVP’s second major British signing.
“I’m delighted to say I’m now part of MVP,” Marshall said. “They think out of the box. They’re different. Boxing benefits from trailblazers like Jake and Nakisa.”
Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs) isn’t far behind. She ran through Adriana Dos Santos for the WBC strap, unified with Mary McGee, then beat Jessica McCaskill to become undisputed at 140. She followed that with a majority decision over Katie Taylor in Dublin before dropping a narrow rematch in November. Cameron’s last two wins were against Elhem Mekhaled and Patricia Berghult. At 33, she’s still ranked top-10 pound-for-pound by ESPN and BoxRec.
“I’m very excited about this move,” Cameron said. “This is a fantastic opportunity and MVP’s been nothing but encouraging.”
MVP isn’t just collecting belts, it’s building an army
This move isn’t just PR fluff. MVP’s cornering the market on women’s boxing. With Marshall, Cameron, Scotney, Serrano, Baumgardner, and Thorslund all under one roof, they’ve built a stacked squad that rivals any promotion in boxing.
Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian aren’t shy about their play either. They’ve locked in Amanda Serrano for life and handed her a chairwoman role to steer MVP’s women’s division going forward. That’s on top of the Taylor vs. Serrano trilogy booked for July 11 at MSG—on Netflix, no less.
According to Jake and Nakisa, “Savannah and Chantelle have reached the pinnacle of the sport… They’ll lead the next generation.”
And this isn’t even counting the depth. MVP’s roster also includes Shadasia Green, Shurretta Metcalf, Jennifer Miranda, Alexis Chaparro, Ellie Scotney, and 15x amateur champ Nat “No Love” Dove. They’ve got Olympians, social media stars, and knockout machines. The Taylor vs. Serrano trilogy might be the headline, but this is just the start.
Women’s boxing has finally got a promotional powerhouse willing to put real money, real energy, and real matchmaking behind the talent. About time.
