Pitters Dominates Kahrami, Sets Up April Title Fight

Shakan Pitters made quick work of Bahadur Kahrami, stopping him in the second round in an emotional fight dedicated to his late father. Originally set to face Daniel Dos Santos for the EBU Light-Heavyweight Championship, Pitters had to adjust after multiple opponent changes. Despite the last-minute switch, he wasted no time dismantling Kahrami with a brutal mix of uppercuts and body shots, forcing the referee to step in at 2:13 of the second round.

“I could tell my shots were hurting him, so I thought mixing body and head was the way to get him out of there,” Pitters said. “It would have been the same result with Dos Santos tonight. I’d have taken that EBU belt. I am on fire right now, and next it’s the EBU—let’s run it, 100%.”

GBM promoter Izzy Asif confirmed Pitters will challenge for the now-vacant EBU Light-Heavyweight Championship in April.

“This was more than just a fight for him—it was a tribute to his father,” Asif said. “This year, we’ll see him become European champion and gain a world ranking.”

Emotional Tribute to Murdered Sheffield Schoolboy

GBM promoter Izzy Asif took the ring to pay tribute to 15-year-old Harvey Willgoose, who was tragically killed in a Sheffield schoolyard.

“My heart goes out to Harvey and his family,” Asif said. “We’re all one city, and we’ve lost a son here. This has to stop.”

His speech, filled with emotion, called for unity in the community to prevent future tragedies.

  1. While I respect the tribute to his father, we must not overlook the fact that this match was set up for Pitters to win. The management had everything planned, making it seem like he’s a star when he’s just lucky! It’s a setup!

  2. I dont understand why people say Pitters is so grate. He had an easy opponent and it was a fluke victory. Kahrami was not even a challenge, any boxer could have beaten him in that ring. Its unfair to hype Pitters.
