Zepeda vs. Farmer 2: The Rematch of the Year
The long-awaited rematch between William “El Camarón” Zepeda (31-0, 26 KOs) and Tevin “2X” Farmer (33-7-1, 8 KOs) is finally here. After their thrilling first bout in November 2024, both fighters are set to clash once again for the WBC Interim Lightweight title in a battle that promises to be even more intense than their first encounter.
Zepeda, the undefeated knockout artist, looks to defend his WBC Interim Lightweight crown after surviving a tough challenge from Farmer in their last meeting. The Mexican power-puncher aims to put on a more dominant performance and leave no doubts about his place at the top of the lightweight division.
William Zepeda: “I’ve trained hard for years to get here, and I’m ready to prove that I’m the best. This rematch will be different, and I’m leaving the ring as the clear winner.”
Meanwhile, Tevin Farmer, the former IBF Super Featherweight Champion, returns with renewed confidence after shaking off years of ring rust in their first fight. With his slick defensive style and relentless mentality, Farmer plans to turn the tables this time and make a statement on March 29.
Tevin Farmer: “I let him live in the first fight. Not this time. I’m coming back to reclaim my spot. Zepeda’s not on my level, and I’m ready to show the world why I’m still a top dog in this game.”
Oscar De La Hoya’s Take
“The first fight was an incredible battle, and Tevin proved he could go toe-to-toe with one of the most dangerous guys in boxing. This rematch is going to be even better—Zepeda will be looking to adjust, and Farmer will be looking to prove he’s the best. It’s going to be a fight for the ages.”
Zepeda’s Rise to the Top – Knockout Machine at Lightweight
William Zepeda has become one of boxing’s most electrifying fighters. Known for his relentless attack and non-stop action, Zepeda’s career skyrocketed after he defeated Joseph “JoJo” Diaz in a career-defining upset in October 2022. The performance shattered several CompuBox records and showed the world that Zepeda was no ordinary lightweight.
Following that win, Zepeda went on to crush Maxi Hughes in March 2024, forcing his corner to throw in the towel in a WBA/IBF eliminator. In July 2024, he stopped Giovanni Cabrera for the first time in the latter’s career. His last fight in November 2024, however, was the toughest of his career as he faced Tevin Farmer for the WBC Interim Lightweight belt, going the distance for the first time in two years and winning via split decision.
Farmer’s Quest for Redemption
Tevin Farmer is no stranger to the big stage. After becoming the IBF World Super Featherweight Champion and successfully defending the title four times, he’s ready to show the world that he still has plenty left in the tank. Despite a loss to Raymond Muratalla in 2024, Farmer showed his resilience in the first fight against Zepeda, giving the Mexican a run for his money.
Farmer promises to come back stronger, focusing on his defensive slickness and counter-punching. This time, he’s not just aiming to win; he’s looking to make a statement and reclaim his world championship status.

Look, everyone says Zepeda is unbeatable, but that’s nonsense! Farmer has the experience and he already showed he can handle pressure. This time, it’s all about strategy, not brute force. Zepeda will fall flat!
I dont understand why people think Zepeda gonna win again. Farmer is much more skilly and he was so close last time. Zepeda just got lucky! Skills matter, not just knockouts. People need to see that.
