The Ring Magazine is launching a new weekly boxing show called Inside the Ring, premiering Wednesday, September 10 during Canelo–Crawford fight week and airing exclusively on DAZNVeteran broadcaster Max Kellerman returns to his boxing roots to host the series alongside The Ring’s senior insider Mike Coppinger. Each episode will feature fight recaps, previews, breaking news, analysis, and guest appearances from some of boxing’s biggest names.
Launching During Canelo–Crawford Fight Week
The opening episode debuts in Las Vegas during the build-up to Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford. Both fighters are set to appear, while DAZN will also run special editions after the final press conference and post-weigh-in. The timing ties the show directly to the year’s biggest fight
Following its launch, Inside the Ring will move into a weekly slot, airing every Monday from September 15. Episodes will be produced out of Los Angeles, with a segment simulcast on Ring Magazine’s YouTube channel to reach a wider audience
Omaha Productions Partnership
The show is produced in collaboration with Omaha Productions, the media company behind Monday Night Football with Peyton & Eli and Netflix’s Quarterback. Viewers can also follow Inside the Ring on social media, with dedicated handles across Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook
Rick Reeno, CEO of The Ring, called the launch “the dawn of a new era in boxing coverage,” while DAZN’s Group CEO Shay Segev praised it as “an exciting extension of our longstanding partnership with HE Turki Alalshikh and The Ring.”
Max Kellerman’s Boxing Return
For Kellerman, this marks a homecoming. Before ESPN fame with shows like First Take and Around the Horn, he cut his teeth as a teenage boxing commentator in New York. He described the new series as “the type of show boxing has always needed and never had.”
Coppinger, who joined The Ring earlier in 2025 after stints with USA Today, The Athletic, and ESPN, said fans can expect “destination viewing each Monday” covering everything from fight analysis to inside scoops.

‘Inside the Ring’ sounds like a boring news show with fancy graphics but no real substance. If I wanted analysis, I’d read Twitter instead of watching two guys talk every Monday night.
@Mbennett That’s what I was thinking too! These shows are all hype but then you get ten minutes of talking and nothing new said.
Why is everything always on DAZN now? Not everyone has that app or wants to pay extra every month just for one show. They should put it on regular TV so more people can see it.
Yeah man, it’s dumb putting all the good stuff behind paywalls now. Used to be you could watch fights without needing three apps and a subscription card.
@White Keith True! It’s like they don’t care about regular fans anymore, only rich people with streaming services.
Max Kellerman ain’t that great. He talks too much and acts like he knows everything about boxing when he don’t even fight. I’ll watch it once but I bet it’s all talk, no action.
Exactly! Max just likes to hear himself speak. I’d rather hear from real boxers than these so-called experts who never stepped in a ring.
I don’t get why they need another boxing show. There’s already enough of them out there, and most just repeat the same stuff over and over. What makes this one so special anyway? 🤔
It is good that there is a new boxing show. I will try to watch it on YouTube. I don’t know much about the hosts, but maybe it will be interesting.
