Tyson Fury might be plotting a comeback, but according to the odds, he’s walking straight into another L. William Hill has made him a 7/4 underdog in the rumoured third fight against Oleksandr Usyk. That’s right—after back-to-back losses, the bookies are expecting a clean sweep for the Ukrainian.
Usyk, holding the WBA, WBC, and WBO belts, is priced at 4/9 to make it three-for-three. The whispers around boxing say this third chapter might hit Wembley Stadium in 2026, and if it does, Fury’s got the odds—and the momentum—stacked against him.
Is this the end of the Fury myth?
Once the king of chaos, Tyson Fury is now the betting outsider. William Hill clearly isn’t convinced the big man from Morecambe has figured out the Usyk puzzle. The first two fights didn’t go his way—and unless he’s discovered some new footwork and discipline in retirement, the third one might look no different.
Lee Phelps of William Hill didn’t sugarcoat it: “The return of Tyson Fury to the ring will come as a concern for many in the heavyweight division, but not Oleksandr Usyk, who is fancied to make it a losing return for Fury.”
Translation: Usyk isn’t worried, and neither are the odds compilers.
You’d think a man his size could lean on a smaller guy and make it ugly, but Usyk’s ring IQ has made Fury look slow, predictable, and at times completely lost. Whatever ‘retirement plan’ Fury was cooking up, it better have included someone teaching him how to cut off a ring.

Usyk only winning cause Fury been lazy since beating Wilder. If he trained right and didn’t keep retiring every five minutes, this wouldn’t even be a debate.
‘Retirement’ was just an excuse for not being focused anymore. He gotta stop fooling around if he wants to win again.
‘Lazy’ is spot on mate, dude lost his hunger after getting rich 🤷♂️ Not fighting with that old fire no more.
Everyone acting like odds mean something real. It’s just numbers from dudes who don’t fight. Fury can win if he actually trains hard instead of talking all the time like he always does.
Exactly bro! People trust them odds too much like they magic or something 🤦♂️. Fights happen in the ring not on paper.
I don’t get why people think Fury don’t have a chance. Just cause he lost twice don’t mean he gonna lose again. He’s a big guy, and one punch can change the whole fight 💥.
Yeah man, people forget that Fury been in wars before and still came out on top. Usyk good but he ain’t unbeatable no matter what the bookies say.
Fury just needs to come in shape and use his size right. If he leans on Usyk enough, Usyk gonna gas out early.
