Yoelvis Gomez vs Antraveous Ingram: Cuban Power Meets Florida Fire in Orlando Throwdown

Yoelvis “La Joya” Gomez (9-1, 7 KOs) ain’t showing up to play nice. The Cuban hammer, now fighting out of Las Vegas, is back in the ring November 1, 2025, to fight unbeaten Antraveous Ingram (12-0, 6 KOs) from Kissimmee, Florida. Ten rounds, super welterweight scrap, Gomez’s WBA Continental Latin America title on the line.

You can smell it — redemption fight. The kind that either fixes your career or buries it. Gomez has had time to stew since that loss, and the kid looks meaner. Not reckless, though. Smarter. A bit colder too, like he’s done explaining himself.

“Smarter, Stronger” – Gomez Promises Fire

Ingram’s zero don’t mean much to Gomez. “This fight is my chance to show the world that I’m still one of the most dangerous fighters in the super welterweight division,” he said. “I’ve faced adversity, made adjustments, and now I’m coming in with more hunger than ever. When that bell rings, I want people to see a smarter, stronger version of me — a fighter ready to take over the division.”

That’s not talk for show. Gomez sounds like a man who’s been punched, humbled, and rebuilt. “Ingram’s a good fighter, undefeated, but I’ve fought at a higher level,” he said. “I’m bringing power and precision that change fights instantly. Fans on DAZN are gonna see fireworks.”

Fighting for Cuba, But This One’s Personal

He’s waving the Cuban flag, sure, but don’t get it twisted — this is about pride. “Every fight is a step toward my dream — to bring a world title back to Cuba,” Gomez said. “I fight for my people, for the next generation watching me chase greatness. A win on November 1 puts me back where I belong — on the path to a world championship.”

Then he said it plain: “I’ve learned more from my setbacks than my victories. Sometimes a loss wakes up the fighter inside you. I’ve refined my training, sharpened my defense, and elevated my mindset. You’re gonna see a complete Yoelvis Gomez — one who’s gonna give it his all.”

Amaury Piedra from Boxlab wasn’t pulling punches either. “This is a defining moment,” he said. “He’s got all the pieces — power, charisma, drive. A win here puts him right back in the mix.”

My Prediction:

I’ve covered this kid ringside before — Gomez hits like he’s mad at the world. Used to swing like a bar brawler, no brakes, no plan. But that loss? Woke him up. You can see it in how he moves now — patient, sharp, no wasted shots.

Ingram’s got talent but not enough grit yet. If Gomez keeps his cool and doesn’t fall in love with his left hand, he breaks Ingram down by the middle rounds. My take? Gomez by stoppage in seven. But hey, it’s boxing — one lazy counter and you’re doing the chicken dance under the lights. Seen it a thousand times.

  1. Ain’t no way Ingram lasts ten rounds with someone who punches like Gomez unless he runs all night 🥱 This fight gonna be over by round six if you ask me.

  2. Everyone acts like experience from losing is some kinda superpower 😒 No, winning is what teaches you how to win more!

  3. I been watchin DAZN fights for a while now and most these guys come talkin big then get knocked down quick 😤 I’ll believe Gomez got better when I see him last past round five.

  4. ‘Smarter’ don’t mean better if you still getting hit in the face every round 🤷‍♂️. Gomez gotta prove it with fists not words.

  5. Gomez talking big about Cuba and all but boxing ain’t about flags, it’s about who hits harder and faster in the ring. If Ingram quicker, then none of that talk matters.

  6. They say he smarter now but I still think he wild in the ring. You can’t teach control overnight just cause you lost once. He might end up getting caught again 😬.

  7. Everybody hyping up Gomez like he some kinda legend already. He lost before and could lose again easy if he gets too cocky. One punch change everything, remember that.

  8. I don’t care what nobody says, Gomez is gonna knock that other guy out. He’s been through stuff and that makes him tougher. Ingram ain’t fought nobody big yet, so he not ready for this 🔥.
